Spring Means Flowers....

It is Spring, the days are longer, the sun is getting warmer, and the flowers are blooming.  Gorgeous blooms coming up to provide us with some beautiful color after the long bare Winter.
I know the groundhog may have tricked some of you and you may even still have snow on the ground where you live but I have a treat for you today.  I am going to brighten up your Spring straight from Flowertown!

Flower Votive Candle Holder

Retro Flower Hair Tie

Flower Clay Ring
Psychedelic CD Wall Clock

A little about the person behind all these beautiful colors:

Ever since I was a little girl I have always been attracted to anything colorful. From crayons and markers to seed beads and embroidery floss. Colors make me happy! I still love the things from my childhood but I find myself now working most often with polymer clay.

I have so many ideas in my head that I find myself jumping from one project to the next. Polymer clay can be used in so many different ways. Just take a look around my shop. You will see that I make everything from buttons and beads to covering objects for your home and personal use.

I love it when people say "just looking at your work makes me happy". I couldn't think of a better compliment.

I highly recommend you visit Flowertown Originals, you will be glad you did!

I hope you have a Flower Filled Friday!

A little about Diane the owner and creator behind Serenity Lane Designs:

I have been playing with rubber stamps and paper for more then 12 years! I love to try new things and learn new techniques. I'd like to think -- if it doesn't move, I can stamp it! ;)

I live in upstate NY with my husband of 16 years and our spoiled-rotten cairn terrier named Charlie. :)

Another great fact about Diane is that she was featured on ABC's The Chew!

As we take our leave from Serenity Lane I would like to remind you that you can come come back and visit anytime!  You can find this wonderful shop on the map here:

Women Of History

March is National Women's History Month
There have been so many women who have made such an impact on our lives that I decided to ask the members of Handmade Circle Team  for their opinion on who they they thought were great women in history.

Helen Keller

Eleanor Roosevelt

Maya Angelou

Clara Barton

Alice Paul

Juana De la Cruz

Mother Teresa
Rosa Parks

Ina May Gaskin

Michelle Obama

I think they made some excellent choices and I have to agree all of the above are indeed great women in history. The great women who participated in this blog post have all had a great impact on my life. Just a few of the things that make them great, they have encouraged me, laughed with me, taught me, and befriended me, and so much more!  In fact I feel this way about EVERY member of the Handmade Circle Team!
I believe they deserve to be in this group of great women as well so here they are:

Angelene of Paper Pastiche
Coral of ToppyToppy

Ashley of Brenny's Bibbies

Jayne of Twiggy & Opal
Fiona of The Happy Mushroom

Kathy of Flowertown Originals

Michelle of Baby Girl's Creations

Red of Weavers Homestead

Sarah of Star Jewels

Terri of Terri Jean's Adornments

Sue of Gaga Gems

Together we women can make history!

If it can be crocheted or knit, you can probably find it at ToppyToppyKnits! I make Knitwear for everyone. My Children items are beautiful, cute, fun, and comfy. For grown ups, I offer great quality, style and bussiness elegance.
I love designing new accessories like Cartoon Character Hats and I make Headbands, Scarves, Fingerless Gloves, Poncho Shawls, Sweaters, iPhone covers, Card Holders, etc.

Gypsy That I Was

It is time for our Shop Of The Week!

Let me introduce you to Gypsy That I Was!  This is a great shop that has unique handmade items - crocheted scarves and hats, beaded jewelry, and purses.  Take a look at some of her great items!

She also does something really fun! The Weird Beard!

The owner of this great and fun shop is Pam Klemm Talpers, lets learn a little about the Gypsy behind the Gypsy That I was:

I am a wife, Mom, and nurse who enjoys creating from the materials at hand. (I LOVE to shop for the raw parts, so I have quite a supply amassed.) I am constantly trying to come up with new uses for crochet, as I am obsessed with fiber, yarn, and beads. I have always loved jewelry, so designing and making my own was a natural progression. I also spend lots of time experimenting with color combinations.

My jewelry and accessories (scarves and purses) are all original designs by me, Pam, and the majority are one-of-a-kind items. (Okay... I'll admit, occasionally, I'll make something and have a hard time parting with it, so I'll make another one like it, just for me!) I am attentive to quality craftsmanship and detail, but also derive joy from the successful completion of a project of which I am proud. All of my creations come from a smoke-free environment. (Hey, I'm a nurse, remember?)

I am willing to do custom work - just contact me and I'll be happy to discuss that with you.

You can find Pam on Etsy  https://www.etsy.com/shop/GypsythatIwas?ref=pr_shop_more
and on Facebook at:          https://www.facebook.com/pages/GypsythatIwas/228567307154650?fref=ts

Stop by and tell her hello!
Join us on Handmade Circle Team you may be the next Shop Of The Week!
